“American Expressionism in the 21st Century: Part 2,” a symposium sponsored by Drs. Thomas and Marika Herskovic, was held at the Pollock-Krasner House and Study Center on Sunday May 19, 2013. The discussion was moderated by Helen Harrison, Director of the Pollock-Krasner House and Study Center.
The panel addressed the relevance of expressionism, both figurative and abstract, in contemporary art. Speakers included artists Sally Egbert, Connie Fox, Carol Hunt, Ruby Jackson, Haim Mizrahi and myself. Linda Hatofsky, widow of West Coast expressionist painter Julius Hatofsky, discussed her late husband’s work, and contributions from the audience were also addressed. My segments in the video are located at 8:56 and 18:15.
Some of Ms. Herskovic’s videos can be viewed here. Her books are listed on Amazon here.
